It's 6am and you want some more
I hear you runnin' around and makin' noise on the floor
Makin' all kindza racket that no one could stand
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had
I hear the lamp get tip-tip-tip tipped
And I raise one eye and see you lookin' at me
I'm sleepin' like a cat, like a baby in blankets
Your insatiable urge for gettin' mauled in the sun
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had (You you you really are)
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad
How much have you had
How much have you had (Much much much)
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad (Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh)
How much have you had
How much have you had (You you you really are)
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad (Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh)
How much have you had
How much have you had (Much much much)
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad (Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh)
How much have you had
How much have you had (You you you really are)
Are you really that bad
Are you really that bad (Ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh)
How much have you had
How much have you had
Sometimes you're lost but you don't want to be found
Sometimes you fly but you never leave the ground
Ain't no surprise you can see inside the sound
Don't feel so shy cause there's always been someone around
And if you're scared you can always get shot down
And if you're tough you can always seem a clown
Sometimes you're lost but you don't want to be found
Ain't no surprise you can see inside the sound
Sometimes you fly but you never leave the ground
Don't feel so shy cause there's always been someone around
Sometimes you're lost but you don't want to be found
Ain't no surprise you can see inside the sound
Sometimes you fly but you never leave the ground
Don't feel so shy cause there's always been someone around
Sometimes you're lost but you don't want to be found
Ain't no surprise you can see inside the sound
Sometimes you fly but you never leave the ground
Don't feel so shy cause there's always been someone around
I see you rise up and gaze toward the sound
With your one eye open, you look around
Is it the monster on the street again
Is it the creature with the volume on ten
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Two times a week I swing by
I won't do no harm
I won't try to eat cha
I just gotta move on past your lawn
When you run away
And you run for your life
You look for high shelter
In the corner of the room
And you wait 'til I pass
And you hide from me
And I'm just try'na do my job
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Tuesdays and Thursdays I fly
I won't do no harm
I ain't try'na eat cha
I just gotta drive on past your lawn
Girl can't you see it's alternate side parking
Every week
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
No need to run, crouch and hide
I won't do no harm
I won't try to eat cha
I just gotta drive on past your lawn
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
Don't worry girl
I'm just a street cleaner
This peeling lead paint turns to poisonous dust
When it gets inside your child's mouth
There's a cute little teddy bear waving at us
And he's gazing with a quiet pout
It's a feeling growing old, getting older, and old
And it's happenin' to all of us
It's a fact that's a fact that we all got to trust
It's a fact that we're turning to dust
So be happy none of us
Trapped in a bus
Going off a cliff
Straight to hell
Bring forth the majesty
And poke your head out
Hey
Hey
Hey
Oooo ooo oooooo
Ooo ooo
In his high heeled boots in an old mans suit
Real ladies man
Slicked back hair, smoke's in his ear, he's a
Hot shot man
It's funny honey the beer cost money
Leather man
Dressed in leather in any weather
Mr. Rock n Roll
Well, he's white as a ghost, and his band is the most, he's the
Talk of the town
He's hip with the chicks, he's a tattooed hick, that
Lives in a van
And when he's hungry, he has no money
Eats from the can
From one fad from the next, he'll ask you for sex, he's a
Flash in the pan
It's funny honey the beer cost money
Leatherman
Dressed in leather, in any weather
Mr. Rock n Roll
Your world is slowly crumblin'
You looked into the sky
No one feels like you do
Your world is slowly
Crumblin' on me
My world is slowly
Crumblin' around you
So how'd you come to knowin'
That you'd be unsatisfied
No one deals like you do
Your world is slowly
Crumblin' on me
My world is slowly
Crumblin' around you
Your world is slowly
Crumblin' on me
My world is slowly
Crumblin' around you
1. SNACKMAN’S DREAMSCAPE: This song was in my head while traveling on the subway to my job in the mid- 2000’s. The “snacker” tip-toes through his dream, picking up food things along the way and eating them in all sorts of strange fantasical settings.
2. HOW MUCH HAVE U HAD?: Written in Spring 2016, This song could be about our cat Sweet Deem or maybe an imaginary drug addict roommate (you choose / apologies if your drug addict roommate is real). “It’s 6 am and you want some more / I hear you runnin’ around and makin’ noise on the floor / Makin’ all kinds of racket that no one could stand. / Are you really that bad? How much have you had? / I hear the lamp get tipped (tip tip tip) and I raise one eye and see you lookin’ at me / I’m sleeping like a cat…like a baby in blankets / Your insatiable urge for getting mauled in the sun.”
3. SECONDARY PERSON: Written in 2008 as a failed experiment to try to merge jazz and sludge metal. Lyrics came in 2015 and they are in response to that age old command “Dance like no one is watching” Lyrics: “Sometimes you’re lost but ya don’t want to be found / Sometimes you fly, but you never leave the ground / Ain’t no surprise that you sit inside the sound / Don’t feel so shy cause there’s always been someone around.”
4. CUPCAKE: This is a nice combo variation of a classical guitar piece written in 2008 called “Cupcake Batter”. • Featuring Tom Curiano on drums and RSM on rest. Recorded at Vinegar Hill Sound, Whales Through Space and Steel River.
5. STREET CLEANER: Written in Spring 2016. Here in NYC, we move our car from the street a few times a week so that the street cleaner can drive his cleaning beast through our street and suck up litter into its underbelly. Our cat is afraid of the street cleaner and runs away from the front window – I wrote this song from the persective of the guy who drives the street cleaner. “I see you rise up and gaze toward the sound with your one eye open, you look around / Is it the monster on the street again? / Is it the creature with the volume on ten? / Don’t worry girl, I’m just a street cleaner / Two times a week I swing by / I wont do no harm, I ain’t try-na eat-cha / I just gotta move on past your lawn..etc.” Featuring Joe Russo on drums, Steven E. Mallorca on trumpets, RSM on rest. Recorded at Reasonable Sound, Whales Through Space, Slow Jam King Uptown Studios, & Steel River.
6. HAPPY TO BE ALIVE: This one was written straight to paper in 2008. It is about health, the things we worry about, and relativity. • “This peeling lead paint turns to poisonous dust, when it gets inside your child’s mouth. There’s a cute little teddy bear waving at us, and he’s wavin’ with a quiet pout. There’s a feeling getting old - gettin old growin’ old, and it’s happenin’ to all of us / it’s a fact that’s a fact that we all need to trust / It’s a fact that we’re turning to dust. So be happy none of us trapped in a bus, going off a cliff straight to hell….. Bring forth the majesty / and poke your head out.” • Featuring Tom Curiano on Drums and RSM on rest. Rec at Vinegar Hill Sound, Whales Through Space, and Steel River.
7. MR. ROCK N ROLL: This song is written by “Lone Wolves” a favorite NYC band that I would go see as much as possible when I first moved to New York in 1993. Recently I played with them and I re-fell in love with this song and ask for their blessing to cover it on the album. • Featuring Joe Russo on drums and RSM on rest. Recorded at Reasonable Sound and Steel River.
8. CRUMBLIN’: This song was written in 2004. It could be about a lot of things but right now it’s my response to the political election debates. “Your world is slowly crumbling, you looked into the sky, no one feels like you do, You’re world is slowly crumbling on me. My world is slowly crumbling around you. So how’d you come to knowing, that you’d be unsatisfied?” • Featuring Tom Curiano & RSM on rest.
9. LUBRIDERM SNAKE: This song is big ridiculousness made by Ms. Dellaccio and I. We use it to march. I made a demo. A few months ago, when Joe heard it and said he wanted to try laying down drums to this song, I realized it was going on this record. Featuring Joe Russo on drums, Dan “the Hotch” Winer: on vocal aura. RSM on rest.
10. ARGENTINEAN BEAST: This was written around 2006. This song is named for the fierceness that Lautaro was displaying on his face while playing drums on this. All music and lyrics by Robert Mangano, Whales Through Space, BMI, except “Lubriderm Snake” by E. Dellaccio & RSM, and “Mr Rock n’ Roll” by Lone Wolves (Rick Bruccoleri, Orin Portnoy, and Richie Pomerantz) Courtesy of Wolfcubb Records.
